Cheers to the New Year

2017 was quite the year, and a year I am ready to leave in the past. 2018, however, I’m really looking forward to. Now that I’m finally in London, I feel like I can finally start my life. I’m currently applying for jobs, and ready to get a career started. Nick got a promotion and a raise, so soon we’ll be looking for a place to call our home. I’m finally starting this blog, which is something I’ve wanted to do for the past two years. Nick and I are planning a lot of traveling this year, especially in the second half of the year, and my 21 members of my family are coming over to London for the first time. While I’m not setting resolutions per se, I am setting a few intentions for the new year. The biggest being getting a career going and getting our own place, but I’m also hoping to make new friends, explore new places, and fill my days with as many experiences as possible. I feel like 2018 could be a very big year for me. And I also so desperately hope to get a cat this year! I had to leave my cat Wednesday behind in New York (she’s now keeping my grandmother on her toes), and I miss having a feline friend around!
